Terms of Service
Honest language. No legal theatre. By using Voidlogue you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
Voidlogue provides two encrypted communication products: Conversation (ephemeral N=1 messaging) and Revelation (encrypted legacy delivery with dead-hand triggering). Both products encrypt all content client-side — in your browser — before it reaches our servers.
To use Voidlogue you must sign in with a Google account and be at least 16 years old.
Acceptable use
You may use Voidlogue for lawful private communication. You may not use Voidlogue to:
- Communicate, plan, or coordinate illegal activity of any kind
- Harass, threaten, or abuse another person
- Distribute child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualises minors
- Circumvent sanctions or export controls
- Impersonate another person
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attack our infrastructure
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the service
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Conversation — what you should know
- Messages are encrypted before leaving your device. We cannot read them.
- Each reply permanently deletes the previous message from our servers. This deletion is irreversible. There is no message recovery service.
- The N=1 model is a design feature, not a bug. It is working as intended when messages disappear.
- Conversation is not suitable as a sole means of communication in emergencies. It is a deliberate communication tool, not an emergency notification system.
- Voidlogue Conversation is not for illegal communications.
Revelation — what you should know
- A Revelation is a private message, not a legal document. Voidlogue Revelation is not a substitute for a will, testament, power of attorney, or other legally binding instrument. For legal matters, consult a solicitor.
- Revelation messages are not admissible as legal documents without additional attestation and legal advice.
- The dead-hand delivery system triggers based on your failure to respond to aliveness checks. False positive deliveries — caused by you being unavailable, hospitalized, traveling without internet access, or simply forgetting to respond — are your responsibility. Configure grace periods accordingly.
- The platform cannot recover a forgotten personal security field answer. If you forget what security fields you used, your recipient will not be able to decrypt the message. This is a privacy feature, not a limitation.
- Media content responsibility — including the legality and appropriateness of content — remains with the sender.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans (Personal, Duo) are billed monthly or annually through Paystack. Prices are displayed at voidlogue.com/pricing.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
- All core privacy features (encryption, Void Mode, decoy mode, panic clear) remain available on the free tier permanently.
- The Duo plan token is single-use and valid for 24 hours. If the token expires unused, a new one must be generated.
Limitation of liability
Voidlogue is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about uptime, message delivery timing, or the behaviour of the dead-hand mechanism under unusual circumstances (including infrastructure outages).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Voidlogue Ltd. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including, but not limited to, consequences of a Revelation being delivered unexpectedly early or late due to infrastructure issues.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
What Voidlogue protects — and what it doesn't
Voidlogue protects your privacy from the people in your life: partners, family members, employers, casual snoops. It is designed for that threat model and is effective against it.
Voidlogue does not protect against government subpoenas, nation-state surveillance, institutional monitoring, or legal discovery. We say this clearly because honesty is the product. If your threat model includes nation-state adversaries, you need tools designed for that purpose.
Intellectual property
Voidlogue Ltd. owns the platform, the code, and the Voidlogue brand. You own your content. You grant us a limited licence to store and transmit your encrypted content solely to provide the service.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. On termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction also apply.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes to this page with 30 days' notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept the new terms, delete your account before the effective date.
